More than 1,000 people attended the
annual NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
Gala at the Waldorf Astoria on
Wednesday, May 2, raising $2.65 million
to benefit children’s programs.

The Décor – evoking whimsical and
child-like with a carousel made of roses
and beautiful rose center pieces shaped
to look like delicious cakes – was
designed by world renowned event
designer, Preston Bailey.
The evening opened with a special
performance by the Brooklyn Youth
Choir and
entertainment
for the evening was provided by the
legendary rock band Chicago.
The night’s meal was a first course of
lobster tail, cilantro mango salad with
micro basil & crispy ginger and a
coconut lobster sauce. The entrée was a
roasted breast of lemon thyme chicken
with sides of sweet pea risotto, Confit
grape tomatoes, and asparagus. Topping
off the meal, guests enjoyed a decadent
chocolate raspberry cadeau; a flourless
cake, raspberry gelee and chocolate
mousse, topped with fresh raspberries
and a Muroise sauce
