Former
Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Paul A. Volcker was
honored at the Cerebral Palsy International Research
Foundation Benefit Thursday night September 27 at
The Pierre in New York City which raised over
$1 million towards research to improve the lives of
those with CP and related developmental disabilities.
Chairman of the Board of CPIRF, Volcker has been a driving
force behind the cause due to his own experiences helping
his son, Jim, cope with CP since birth. The emotional
evening was hosted by prominent financial journalist Ron
Insana which turned up business heavyweights the likes
of Eugene A. Ludwig, Founder & CEO, Promontory
Financial Group, LLC and Robert Wolf,
Founder & CEO, 32 Advisors, LLC who along with Ray
Dalio, Founder, President & CIO, Bridgewater Associates,
LP,
also served as
dinner Co-Chairs. The full house of distinguished guests
were then treated to a special performance by comedian
Josh Blue, winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing
who also lives with CP. |
