Nick Cannon, Jordin Sparks and Miss America Honor
“Champion” Kids at Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals 2012 Medals Ceremony in Orlando
When: Friday, September 21
Details: An inspiring child from every state
was honored by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
during the 2012 Champions Medals Ceremony. Media
mogul Nick Cannon hosted the charity’s event, along
with performances by Jordin Sparks (performing her
song "Faith" and "Celebrate" from Whitney
Houston's final film, Sparkle) and Laura
Kaeppeler, Miss America 2012 and CMN Hospitals
National Ambassador.
Cannon was also on hand to announce a new
collaboration between Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals and Kuboo.com, a safe online community for
kids ages four to 11. The site, which launches early
next month, will allow for the 2012 Champion
ambassadors — and any kid admitted to a Children
Miracle Network Hospital — a free registration and
subscription to Kuboo.com.
CMN Hospitals’ Champions serve as yearlong
ambassadors for their hospital, state and the
millions of kids helped by the charity’s locally
raised funds. This year's Champions’ week included a
visit to the White House to meet President Obama,
and a chartered 767 to Disney World courtesy of this
year’s program sponsor, Delta Air Lines. To learn

About Children's Miracle Network Hospitals
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds
for 170 top and nonprofit children’s hospitals
across the United States and Canada, which, in turn,
use the money where it’s needed the most. When a
donation is given it stays in the community, helping
local kids. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals has raised more than $4 billion, most of
it $1 at a time. These donations have gone to
support research and training, purchase equipment,
and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of
the mission to save and improve the lives of as many
children as possible. Learn more at
