Elie Wiesel is
a global hero, one of the most respected human beings alive
and a global inspiration to people everywhere for the
triumph of the human spirit over adversity. Miriam and
Sheldon Adelson, who celebrates his 80th birthday
this year, have done more to promote Jewish identity and
pride through Birthright Israel, Yad Vashem, the
Adelson Educational Campus, and countless other Jewish and
medical charities than any other philanthropists alive. The
Adelsons are also among the world's leading funders of
medical research, with a special focus on addiction and
rehabilitation. Dr. Mehmet Oz is not only the world's most
famous doctor, but someone who has brought about a global
revolution in healthy and positive living. No other media
personality has done more to foster the health of Americans
and citizens of the world.
