AND SOMERS FARKAS TOASTED THE RELEASE OF JUDITH MURAT¹S BOOK
AT A BENEFIT FOR THE ALZHEIMER¹S ASSOCIATION
Renowned jewelry designer Judith Murat, and creator of House
of Murat,
celebrated the release of her gold-leafed hardcover book,
"Judy's Journey
Into The Land Of Murat" with a private book-signing event
and trunk show to benefit Alzheimer¹s Association at the
home of Andrea &
John Stark on May 14, 2013.
Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, Muffie Potter Aston and Somers
Farkas hosted the cocktail party, which brought out friends
and supporters including Jean Shafiroff, Nicole Noonan,
Sharon Bush, Michele Gerber Klein, Geoffrey Bradfield,
Cassandra Seidenfeld, Cole Rumbough, Elaine Sargent along
with fashion designers Joanna Mastroianni and Maggie Norris.
Murat signed books with co-author Charles (Sunny) Castor for
friends including Stephania Conrad, Christine Schott and
Liliana Cavendish, while Susan Jacob provided stylist
Allison Lang, Alison Minton and Sharon Bush with a first
look of Judith Murat¹s latest collections. Andrea Stark
thanked guests for coming to her home to support such an
amazing cause and then surprised her husband John and guest
Debra Tanger with House of Murat signature pieces as part of
a raffle that supported the Alzheimer's Association.
"Judy¹s Journey Into The Land Of Murat" showcases
Judith¹s stunning
³Island Living² collection. Her most noted & signature
pieces, from this
current collection were available for purchase at the event
and will now
be sold through Scully & Scully on Park Avenue, which
Michael Scully
shared with guests over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from
Elegant Affairs.
