10, 2014, the Police Athletic League hosted its 26th Annual
Women of the Year Luncheon, honoring Linda
L. Addison, Managing Partner, United States Norton Rose
Fulbright; Rikki
Klieman, CBS News Legal Analyst, Attorney, Best Selling
Author and Julie
Myers Wood, Chief Executive Officer, Guidepost
Solutions, LLC. The luncheon, which was held at The Pierre
in Manhattan and welcomed over 300 guests, celebrated these
three outstanding women and PAL’s Centennial year, while
helping New York City’s children achieve their full
potential. The event raised $450,000 for
the nonprofit.

Linda
Addison is
U.S. Managing Partner of Norton Rose Fulbright, serves on
its Global Executive Committee and Chairs the U.S.
Management Committee. She is a Founder and Immediate Past
President of the Center for Women in Law. Ms. Addison serves
as a Trustee of the University of Texas Law School
Foundation, on the board of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center
Foundation, and is a Distinguished Alumna of The University
of Texas. She received the prestigious Margaret Brent Award
from The American Bar Association. Ms. Addison is a mentor
in FORTUNE/U.S. Department of State Global Women Leaders
Mentoring Partnership, a Partner in the Partnership for New
York City, a member of The Committee of 200, the Women and
Foreign Policy Advisory Council of the Council on Foreign
Relations, New York City, and the Economic Club of New York.
Television
anchor, legal analyst, trial attorney, actor and
best-selling author, Rikki
Klieman has
earned a reputation as one of the nation’s most celebrated
lawyers and legal authorities. She is a Contributor/Legal
Analyst for CBS This Morning, and author of “Fairy Tales Can
Come True – How a Driven Woman Changed Her Destiny.” Ms.
Klieman remains Of Counsel to the Boston law firm of Klieman
& Lyons. She lectures across the country and taught trial
advocacy at Harvard, the University of Virginia and
Northwestern University among others. Ms. Klieman served on
an Advisory Committee to the U.S. Supreme Court and the
Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal
Defense Lawyers. As the wife of NYPD Commissioner William
Bratton, she has embraced new opportunities to give back,
serving on the Board of the Police Athletic League, the
Board of Directors and the Membership Committee of the
Women’s Forum and the Council of 100.
As Chief
Executive Officer of Guidepost Solutions, Julie
Myers Wood focuses
on growing the company’s core business lines and expanding
technological tools to support security and compliance
services. She joined Guidepost Solutions in 2012 as
president of its Compliance, Federal Practice and Software
Solutions division. Ms. Wood is the former founder and
president of ICS Consulting, LLC. Prior to founding ICS
Consulting, Ms. Wood served as Head of Immigration and
Customs Enforcement for the Department of Homeland Security
(DHS). She led the largest investigative component of DHS
and the second largest investigative agency in the federal
government. Prior to government service, Ms. Wood was an
associate at Mayer, Brown & Platt in Chicago, IL.
New York
City’s Police Athletic League is the first and finest
civilian-run PAL in the country. Founded in 1914, PAL has
served the city’s young people for 100 years. PAL provides
recreational, educational, cultural and social activities to
35,000 boys and girls annually. It is also the city’s
largest, independent, nonprofit youth organization. For
