The Women’s
Committee and Board
of Trustees of
the Central
Park Conservancy hosted
the 32nd
Annual Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon today
in Central Park's Conservatory Garden (105th Street and
Fifth Avenue). More than 1,200 guests attended the famous
“Hat Luncheon,” all wearing unique, colorful hats. The
event began with a champagne reception under the pergola and
tours of the Conservatory Garden at 11:00 am, followed by
the luncheon and awards presentation under an elegant white
tent at 12:15 pm.

Yesim Philip. J.P.
Morgan served
as the Corporate Chair.
This year’s honoree is the 108th Mayor
of New York City, Michael
R. Bloomberg.
“Frederick Law Olmsted’s vision for Central
Park resulted in one of the most spectacular urban
landscapes in the world”, said Anne Harrison. “It is such an
honor to be a part of this wonderful tradition of
celebrating Olmsted and this extraordinary park”.
The event was fully underwritten by the
Benefit Committee, allowing 100 percent of ticket sales to
go toward support of the Conservancy’s mission of Park
maintenance, restoration, and enhancement. To date $3.5
million has
been raised.
The Benefit Committee and guests included Martha
