The Tick-Borne Disease
Alliance (www.TBDAlliance.org),
the nation’s leading charity focused on raising
awareness and funds for the development of accurate and
reliable diagnostic tests for Lyme disease, hosted it's
third annual fundraising gala,
“The Great Imitator Masquerade Ball,” which looks to
shed light on Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. Ben
Stiller, Kevin
Bacon, Dr.
Mehmet Oz and
New York Mets player David
Wright share
their powerful public messages in support of TBDA and
the need to raise awareness for this debilitating
disease. In addition, an original Alexander
Calder 1964
Gouache painting has been donated to the gala silent
auction by Calder’s daughter, Sondra Davidson, valued
at $80,000 dollars. The TBDA gala honored a group of
courageous individuals, all of whom have been personally
affected by Lyme and will officially kick off May as
National Lyme Disease
Awareness month.
