Ward Landrigan and
Nico Landrigan, Chairman and President of Verdura, hosted
cocktails at the Verdura Gallery to celebrate the
publication of There Was A Little Girl, The Real Story
of My Mother and Me, for friend, author and award
winning actress Brooke Shields. Over 50 guests joined for
the book launch event and for a private viewing of the
retrospective exhibition, The Power of Style: Verdura
at 75. Brooke Shields generously loaned her Maltese
Cross Bracelet Cuff from her personal collection to the
retrospective exhibition. |
In Ms. Shields’s new
memoir, THERE WAS A LITTLE
GIRL: The Real Story of My Mother and Me (Dutton; November
18, 2014), Brooke
opens up for the first time—and entirely in her own
words—about her complicated and layered relationship with
her mother Teri Shields. Her first modeling job came
before she was even a year old, and the career that followed
made her the most famous and recognizable child, and then
teen, of her generation. All of her success came with Teri
at the helm. |
Guests included:
Ward Landrigan, Nico
and Kimberly Landrigan, Brooke Shields, Rachel DiCarlo,
Jacqueline Corbelli, Maria Duenas-Jacobs, Karen Duffy,
Maymi and Montague Hackett, Ambassador Brenda LaGrange
Johnson,
Jay
McInerney and Anne Hearst, Gillian and Sylvester Miniter,
Eileen Guggenheim, Madeline Weinrib. |
