(New
York City, November 18, 2014) – BOBS from SKECHERS
celebrity spokesperson Danielle Bradbery, who charmed
her way into the spotlights as the winner of The
Voice (Season 4), performed at the 10th
Annual Worldwide Orphans Gala on Monday, November 17 at
Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. The Big Machine
Records talent sang “My Day,” which was featured as part
of NBC’s coverage of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, as
a personal request from WWO CEO and Founder Dr. Jane
Aronson. Katie Couric hosted the gala and the program
also featured an emotional special video of WWO
Ambassador Amy Poehler reading an excerpt from her new
book, Yes Please detailing her trip to Haiti with
WWO. This year’s gala also featured a WWO Toy Library
display – a tool used to respond to the growing crisis
of play deprivation among orphaned and vulnerable
children.
“We were
thrilled to sponsor Danielle’s performance at the
Worldwide Orphans Gala,” said Kristen Van Cott, SKECHERS
Creative Director. “SKECHERS is in awe of this
wonderful organization and the extraordinary dedication
of its leader Dr. Jane Aronson. Danielle is an
inspiration to her fans and her performance will surely
bring more attention to the work that WWO does.”
“I’ve loved
being a part of the BOBS campaign with SKECHERS and now
helping Worldwide Orphans,” says Danielle. “It was a
special honor to perform at their gala in New York.”
