Once a
year the New York LGBT community comes together for a unique
gala fund raiser--one that rises above all others for
over-the-top glamour and fun. That event was The Imperial
Court of New York’s Night
of a Thousand Gowns, a
black tie dinner dance and coronation ball. This year, in
our twenty-ninth outing. Our beneficiaries
were The
National LGBTQ Task Force & the LGBT Center of NYC. |

The
29th Annual
Night of a Thousand Gowns is
more than just a dazzling display of regal glamour, it is an
opportunity to celebrate the LGBT community, and in
particular, the colorful cross-dressing segment of that
community. Last year’s event was attended by close to 1,000
affluent people and raised a substantial amount for our
beneficiaries. In our twenty-nine year history, the Court
has donated millions of dollars to worthy LGBT,
HIV/AIDS-related causes and LGBTQ youth shelters and
organizations. |

This year’s Gala
took place on Saturday,
April 11, 2015 beginning
with our Red Carpet and VIP Reception at 6pm. The Gala
followed in the Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis in
Times Square. It
was an event not to be missed! |
