On Tuesday,
April 7th, 2015 over 100 guests gathered to celebrate El
Museo del Barrio's upcoming Gala and meet Patricia
Underwood, the official Gala Milliner, where guests were
able to design their gala veils and view and purchase a
selection of designs. The gala kick off party was held
at the home of El Museo's Gala Chairs, Maria Eugenia
Maury and William Haseltine.

The El Museo 2015 Gala has a cinematic theme, inspired
by the museum's current exhibition UNDER THE MEXICAN
SKY: Gabriel Figueroa - Art and Film, celebrating the
legacy of the prolific Mexican cinematographer Gabriel
Figueroa. Ladies are asked to dress in black and white
with gloves and veils.
The Gala will be held on Thursday, May 14th at The Plaza
Hotel in New York City. This year's honorees are:
Eugenio López Alonso, Founder and President of Fundación
Jumex Arte Contemporáneo, Yolanda Santos, from El
Museo's Board of Trustees, and Lisa Garcia Quiroz,
Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at
Time Warner Inc.
