their dedication to preserving and promoting the cultural legacy
of Louis Armstrong at the Museum's annual gala. |

The museum celebrated the 100th anniversary
of Louis Armstrong's first professional gig with a special
performance by Cyril Neville's band, Royal Southern Brotherhood.
The Louis Armstrong House Museum, the long-time home of Louis
and Lucille Armstrong, is a National Historic Landmark and New
York City Landmark in Corona, Queens. It owns and administers
the largest research archives in the world for any jazz
musician. |
