WHAT:
Citymeals-on-Wheels Board of Directors
Co-President Chef Daniel
Boulud continued
his longtime support of Citymeals-on-Wheels with his
famed Sunday
Supper at DANIEL. Joining Chef Boulud in the kitchen
this year was Chef Pierre Gagnaire of Restaurant Pierre
Gagnaire in Paris. The event, themed 'Black Truffles and
Blue Jeans,' benefitted Citymeals-on-Wheels, a
nonprofit organization that works with community-based
meal centers to prepare and deliver more than 2 million
weekend, holiday and emergency meals for 18,000
homebound elderly New Yorkers every year.
One hundred and fifty lucky guests
indulged at two Michelin-starred DANIEL, one of New York
City's most elegant dining destinations, where they will
be served a splendid late winter menu highlighting black
truffles.
Citymeals Board Vice President Robert
S. Grimes served as the Benefit Chair. The dinner was
paired with wines chosen by Head Sommelier at DANIEL Raj
Vaidya.
