On November 11,
2015, the Police Athletic League hosted its 43rd Annual
Superstar Dinner honoring Maurice
R. Greenberg, Chairman and CEO, C.V. Starr & Co., Inc. Held
at The Plaza in Manhattan, the event welcomed over 300 guests
and raised $1.2 million for the nonprofit. The event Chair was David
Boies, and
Co-Chairs were John
A. Catsimatidis,
J.C. Flowers & Co., John B. Osborn and Judy and Fred
Wilpon. Betty
Liu, Anchor/Editor-at-Large, Bloomberg TV was the
emcee.
Special guests
included: Robert
M. Morgenthau, PAL Chairman; Robert
J. McGuire, PAL Vice Chairman; John
B. Osborn, PAL President; Congressman
Charles B. Rangel; and Frederick
J. Watts, PAL Executive Director.
Gift bags were
donated for the event by Adam Levin of Identity Theft 911,
longtime PAL supporter, which included a copy of his new book
“Swiped.” Mr. Levin is a consumer advocate and is a nationally
recognized expert on security, privacy, identity theft, fraud
and personal finance.
New York City’s
Police Athletic League is the first and finest civilian-run PAL
in the country. Founded in 1914, PAL has served the city’s young
people for over 100 years. PAL provides recreational,
educational, cultural and social activities to 35,000 boys and
girls annually. It is also the city’s largest, independent,
