HOMELESSNESS ISN?T
FUNNY BUT THEY SURE ARE
*******
MARIO CANTONE,
CHARLES GRODIN, JUDY GOLD AND
MARION GRODIN TAKE THE STAGE FOR A NIGHT OF COMEDY TO
BENEFIT HELP USA
As a wise-man once
said, 'Laughter is the best medicine,' and on Tuesday,
October 6th, comedic legends Mario Cantone,
Charles Grodin, Judy Gold and Marion Grodin will join forces
for a night of standup comedy and ask you to lend your money
and support to HELP
USA a
leading nonprofit working to house the homeless.
The event, set to
take place in the Gotham Comedy Club, is sure to entertain
with these great comedic talents on stage and will go to
benefit an organization leading the charge against one of
the greatest socio-economic issues our country faces today
homelessness.
Founded by NYS
governor Andrew Cuomo and currently chaired by his sister
Maria Cuomo Cole, HELP
USA is
one of the nation's largest providers of housing and
supportive services for the homeless, veterans, and victims
of domestic violence. For almost three decades, HELP USA has
been using its unique holistic approach to helping the
homeless regain not just a roof but their place in society
through comprehensive supportive services, such as job
training programs, addiction counseling groups, day care and
educational support services, and domestic abuse counseling
groups.
"My father and I are so thrilled to be back
doing a second stand-up show for HELP USA. It is a wonderful
organization that doesn't just give a hand-out but a hand-up
to the neediest among us," said Marion Grodin. She went on
to say, "We are supremely happy that Mario Cantone and Judy
Gold have joined us this time, they are consummate
performers and sincerely committed to the HELP USA cause."
This event is part
of a comedy series which follows the wildly successful
benefit held in June. The recap from the last event can be
