Center’s 24th Annual Gala Raised
Over
$1 Million for Patient
Scholarship Fund on May 9, 2018
NEW YORK – Over 625 guests helped raise over
$1.4 million at the Caron New York Recovery
Center’s 24th Annual Gala at
Cipriani 42nd Street on May 9th.
Surrounded by peonies and lilacs,
philanthropists Elaine and Anthony Grillo
received the Richard J. Caron Award of
Excellence, as guests dined on rack of lamb
and bountiful spring delicacies. David
Johansen (Buster Poindexter – New York
Dolls) was honored with the Caron Artist
Award and performed some of his greatest
hits. Other boldface names in attendance
included Katie Couric & John Molner,
Clive Davis, Ron Delsener, Mara Hennessey,
Ira Joe Fisher, Denise LeFrak Calicchio &
John Calicchio, Jennifer Bandier, Roberta
Amon, Petra and Steve Levin, Molly Helfet
(Co-Chair), Neil Lasher (Co-Chair), Judy and

The funds raised will support patient
scholarships for adolescent and young adult
addicted individuals and families throughout
Caron’s treatment continuum. A significant
portion of the money raised will help
individuals from the greater New York area.
With 60 years in the field, Caron Treatment
