It is my pleasure to
welcome you to our 5th Annual Agribusiness & Economic Industry
Summit. The Summit will play a key role in shaping the next
stage for farmers, stakeholders, decision makers, industry and
energy communities worldwide. I am pleased to see the widespread
interest and enthusiasm from our partners participating at the
Summit in 2019. We have Ministers, Government Officials,
delegates from public and private sectors, rural farmers, and
business people from around the globe. As many of you know, the
Agribusiness Summit is a unique trans-continental platform for
dialogue and cooperation between Africa, Caribbean, Americas and
other nations. All continents will benefit from strengthening
their relationships; especially in the wake of new challenges
and exciting opportunities posed by the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development Goals. The promotion of agriculture and
industrial activity is widely seen as a desirable way to achieve
the goal of economic growth and development in Africa and
beyond. With micro, small and medium enterprises growing
steadily, this progress contributes to the rise of exports and
helps achieve the goal of sustainable management. We present
this 5th edition of the Agribusiness Summit as a result of the
gracious invitation of Honorable leaders from United States,
Canada, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and the
Republic of Haiti. I would like to recognize the unwavering
commitment of the U.N Ambassadors of the Steering Committee in
preparing for this Summit. Their active leadership through
various meetings, research studies and consultations with their
counsellors; especially Her Excellency Ambassador Ambroisine
Kpongo of the Permanent Mission of Central African to the United
Nations and Excelovate Canada, have proven to be very
beneficial. In addition, I would like to thank everyone that
helped or contributed their time to making this Summit a
success. This Summit is dedicated to bringing the global
community together to inspire innovation. We hope to leverage
technology to strategically grow business and accelerate
advancements through partnerships and roadmaps. I am confident
these three days will generate new ideas on how agriculture,
energy and industry development can contribute to the future of
Sustainable Development Goals worldwide. Thank you for your
participation and welcome to the
5th Annual Agribusiness & Economic Industry Summit.
Respectfully yours, |
