Hollywood and
High Society gather to launch Remi Adeleke’s new book
and get a sneak preview of NYC’s hottest new restaurant
On the evening of Tuesday, May 14th, actor Stephen Baldwin and
Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff hosted a book release party for
Remi Adeleke, whose just released his new book, Transformation:
A Navy Seal's Unlikely Journey from the Throne of Africa, to the
Streets of the Bronx, to Defying All Odds.
Remi's inspiring story is one of true personal transformation,
from troubled teen to Navy SEAL. In Transformed, Remi takes
readers back to stories from his childhood as Nigerian royalty,
to losing his father early in life and being raised by a single
mother in the Bronx.
Jean Shafiroff, author of Successful Philanthropy: How to Make a
Life By What You Give, came up with the idea to host the
reception after reading about Remi and his life story. They
share the common goals of helping others “transform” their
lives. Jean serves on 7 charity boards, the majority of which
help disadvantaged persons.
She invited her friends like Patty Raynes, and Paola Bacchini
among other NYC movers & shakers including Anna Rothschild and
Rita Cosby. Actor Stephen Baldwin, who is about to launch his
own Veteran’s imitative, was eager to co-host with Jean since he
knew Remi for his part in the blockbuster: “Transformers’ the
Last Knight.”
The soon-to-open Marble Downtown was the scene for the party. In
the heart of the meatpacking district in NYC, 120 guests at the
party got a sneak-peek at the beautiful 14th Street space with
high ceilings, brushed white marble floors, and a main dining
room with a full length arched skylight. |
