About the
African Community and
Conservation Foundation
ACCF supports
impactful and transformational community development and
conservation projects like those carried out by the Grumeti
Fund in Tanzania. ACCF is a project sponsored by Friends of
the Peace Parks, Inc a US 501(c) (3) organization founded
with the purpose of preserving Africa’s wildlife by raising
awareness and funding for key conservation projects and
community programs carried out in Africa.
The mission of the African
Community and Conservation Foundation (ACCF) is to
contribute to the preservation of important African
wilderness areas, as well as to empower the communities
living alongside these spaces, contributing to a world in
which people and wildlife live together, sustainably,
forever. To do this, ACCF works with distinguished nonprofit
funds and trusts carrying out impactful conservation and
community projects in Africa. By assisting them through
raising awareness and funding, ACCF provides support for
these important initiatives.
In 2018, the Grumeti
Fund launched its newest initiative, The Black Rhino
Re-Establishment Project, which aims to bring a 10% increase
to the local population of black rhinos. This and other
wildlife conservation programs will secure the biodiversity
living in the western corridor of the Serengeti. Grumeti
Fund has also committed itself to the local community in
Tanzania by offering programs for women to spur female
empowerment, education, enterprise development and
environmental awareness work.
“It’s a privilege to
partner with the Grumeti Fund, who are demonstrated leaders
in conservation and community outreach within the Serengeti
ecosystem. What they’ve accomplished is incredible and
driving sustainable human impact and conservation in
Tanzania.” - Brady Forseth, CEO The African Community and
Conservation Fund |
