Harmony Liu, a
15-year-old America-Chinese girl from Long Island, New
York, has been paying attention to and working hard to
promote peace & harmony among all ethnic groups for many
years. Faced with the recent more serious crimes of
hatred and discrimination against Asians, she hopes to
increase mutual understanding and love , To reduce or
even eliminate the barriers between ethnic groups.
Harmony Liu, who
was born and raised in New York, is now a tenth grade
student at Jericho High School on Long Island. She often
volunteers at The World Harmony Foundation in her spare
time. She said on the 21st, “Since the new Covid-19
outbreak of the epidemic, I have seen acts of hatred
against Asians from time to time in the media and in the
community. I think sharing culture and increasing mutual
understanding between ethnic groups can help eliminate
hatred."
Harmony Liu said
that the World Harmony Foundation was invited to
participate in the "Africa Rises" global online New Year
charity fundraising concert recently organized by the UN
non-governmental organization this year. This event
brings together dozens of people from Africa, North
America and other places every year. The WHF foundation
recommended "Song of Harmony" and the famous "Taiwanese
Songplay Opera to join the concert.
Taiwanese
Songplay Opera produced and performed by the Taiwan Ming
Kwa Yuan Theatre Troope which is the only opera
representing the East culture in this charity concert.
In order to make the show better, Harmony Liu as the
young ambassador of the World Harmony Foundation, played
her Specialties in MC, video editing, music, etc.,
carefully edit the performance video, and give a
detailed introduction to the program
in the concert.
Harmony Liu said
that after the program was broadcast, it was deeply
loved by the organizers and audiences. The concert
organizer also stated that it would continue to take
"Song of Harmony" and "Taiwan Songplay Opera" to more
countries to do charity performances in harmony. Promote
peace with culture and raise funds to help poor areas
and developing countries.
