Andrew
Yang,
a candidate for New York’s mayor and the first Chinese
presidential candidate, participated in a fundraiser for his
campaign at the
Brooklyn Hyatt Hotel on June 5th, 2021;
the United Nations Int’l Environmental Day.
where he was interviewed by Harmony Liu,
the 15 year old World Harmony Youth Ambassador
& ACTV reporter.
Harmony Liu, briefly interviewed Mr. Yang with a simple question:
"If you are elected as mayor, what would you do for our education?”
Yang’s response was that
"first of all, we need to get the kids back in school."
Then, she interviewed Chairman Lin Jianzhong,
who organized this event and provided hotel sponsorship.
Harmony asked him why he supported Andrew Yang’s campaign,
to which he responded in Mandarin Chinese:
In his speech, he mentioned why he joined the election.
There has never been an Asian American mayor in New York. He
wants to inspire more Asian Americans to run for official
positions and participate in politics.
Chairman Lin Jianzhong
is one of the most successful real estate investors in New
York and active in assisting Chinese Americans in
participating
in American politics.
In the early stages, when Andrew Yang became the first
Chinese American presidential candidate for the Democratic
Party, he received the support of Chairman Lin.
Lin constantly emphasized:
The first Asian American to run in American history has
courage. By running for the president of the United States
in the 2020 election, regardless of success or failure, Yang
has become representation for Asians living all over
America.
They have taken the first step in history.
Similarly, President Obama was an inspiration and
representation for African Americans. He was successfully
elected as president, though he did not do any government
works prior.
Harmony Liu concluded:
From entrepreneurs to parents and students, we all support your courage
and thank you for being an inspirational figure for all
Asian Americans, as well as encouraging more Asians to
become a part of higher positions and actively participate
in American politics.

纽约市长竞选人、曾是首位华人总统侯选人杨安泽，于今天联合国环保日6/5日在布鲁克林海悦酒店参加了为他竞选市长的募捐活动，在今天的活动中、世界和谐小大使兼美国国会网络电视台小记者15岁的Harmony
Liu特别带着教育的问题采访了市长竞选人杨：“如果您被选上市长，您会为我们纽约教育做些啥么？
杨安泽说：“他要努力尽快让纽约停止新冠传播、让所有的学生复课。
接着，她又采访了为主办本次活动组织支持者与提供酒店赞助的林建忠董事长，问他为什么支持杨安泽竞选？他告诉小记者Harmony
Liu：
刚才大家都听到杨安泽先生的演讲。他也提到了为什么要竟选纽约市长？中国人在美国纽约历史上还没有出过市长，这是第一次参加选举。让中国历史上有更多中国人参与、让更多中国人有话语权、希望杨安泽先生能当选纽约市长。让更多的中国人华人成为市长，希望华人参与政治的比例更高。
林建忠董事长是最积极协助华人参与美国政治的投资家，早在杨安泽代表民主党出选美国总统侯选人开始，就得到林董事长的支持，林董不断强调：“美國歷史上第一個華人有膽出來競選美國總統，參選2020年美國總統大選，不論成败，華人终于有人够胆出來參選，己走出历史的第一步，黑人总统奧巴馬第一歩成功當選，虽然未做過任何工職，也勝出成為總統。”
林建忠是纽约华人最成功酒店地产投资家，
个人持有29座五星级酒店。其中19座是全资控股，被主流媒体喻为美国霍英东。
