For 36 consecutive years, the Madison Avenue B.I.D. has
celebrated the holidays by organizing Miracle on Madison
Avenue. Miracle Saturday has become a favorite New York
holiday shopping tradition that uniquely combines
philanthropy for children-in-need with in-store programming
and on-the-street holiday activities.
An impressive roster of 72 participating stores and
businesses on Madison Avenue located between East 57th and
East 86th Streets will donate 20% of the day's sales on
Miracle Saturday, December 3, from 10am-5pm, to benefit The
Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center pediatric
programs.
There will be holiday street activities for the whole family
to enjoy, and a warm welcome from every store to make
holiday shopping count for so much more. During Miracle on
Madison Avenue, holiday decor on Madison Avenue will include
a series of sidewalk installations by The School of Visual
Arts. The 3D Design students will present their take on the
classic "dog house."
Each student’s artwork will be illuminated within an 8'
lucite case, and will feature whimsical dog photos placed
along the base. The artworks will be unveiled the week of
November 28, and will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of
the school. In coordination with this installation, Miracle
guests will have the opportunity to meet the MSK Caring
Canine Therapy Dogs and take a complimentary holiday
portrait with their dog at the event hospitality tent
located in front of Frick Madison at 945 Madison Avenue
(74-75 Streets |
