The American Center of Polish Culture in New York
hosted a Gala Concert
by the
Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre
to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations
between Georgia and the United States.
The event featured
the Gala Concert of Georgian and American opera singers,
including
Marika Machitidze (soprano),
Giorgi Lomiseli (baritone),
Irina Sherazadishvili (mezzo-soprano),
Beka Goginashvili (tenor),
Kofi Hayford (bass).
The concert was complemented by the
Georgian wine tasting event
and the exhibition by famous Georgian artist
Eteri Chkadua.
The event was held in partnership with
he American Culture Center and Cultural
and Educational Foundation,
and is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sport, and
Youth of Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Georgia,
the Adjara Group,
and the Georgian Wine Association.
Ambassador of Georgia to the United States,
David Zalkaliani,
and the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia,
Kelly C. Degnan (virtually),
delivered the opening remarks.
The event brought together Georgian government officials,
representatives of the U.S. and other nations,
representatives of
the NYC Mayor’s office
and the City Council, Georgian entrepreneurs
in the U.S., artists, and journalists.
