BROOKLYN, NY – The
World Zionist Organization's Department for the Promotion of
Aliyah is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of
the highly anticipated 2023 Golden Golda Awards. This
exclusive event took place on December 14, 2023, at the Ohel
David & Shlomo Synagogue in Brooklyn, NY, and brought
together an illustrious gathering to celebrate the
achievements of outstanding global Jewish female leaders.
The evening
commenced with a captivating red-carpet reception featuring
musical performances on the piano, saxophone, and violin,
creating an atmosphere of elegance and celebration. The
Awards Gala program was marked by a Menorah lighting
ceremony led by Rabbi Asher Altshul, greetings from Yaakov
Hagoel, Chairman of the World Zionist Organization (WZO),
and insightful keynote remarks by Marina Rozenberg-Koritny,
Head of the World Zionist Organization's Department for the
Promotion of Aliyah:
“We must seize
this moment to strengthen the bond between Jews worldwide
and Israel. Aliyah is not just about returning to a
homeland, it's about forging a more united, resilient, and
prosperous future for Israel and the Jewish people. This is
needed now, more than ever - together we will win!”

During the
ceremony, Anastasia Yaskova, Brooklyn Borough Director from
the Office of the Mayor, graced the event as the honored
guest, presenting a citation to Marina Rozenberg-Koritny to
further recognize her accomplishments.
The awards
ceremony featured a gala dinner accompanied by numerous
captivating performances. Leonid Rosenberg from the American
Association of Veterans of WWII (from the Former Soviet
Union) gave heartfelt remarks and was followed by a
certificate of appreciation to the NYPD from the respected
Russian American Officers Association. Assemblyman
Alec Brook-Krasny gave out additional citations to both
Marina Rozenberg-Koritny and Eugene Lekakh, head of the
WZO’s North American Division for the Promotion of Aliyah.
Presented by the
World Zionist Organization's Department for the Promotion of
Aliyah, the Golden Golda Awards served as a beacon for
acknowledging women's tireless efforts in promoting Zionism
and the core values of Aliyah. Named after the first Israeli
Prime Minister Golda Meir, the awards underscored the
crucial role of Jewish female leadership in building and
strengthening global Zionist communities while promoting
civil engagement.
