"I'm passionately committed to ending
violence against women and girls and achieving gender
equality.
My mission is to deconstruct the root causes of violence
against women and girls through education and collaborations
with individuals and organizations that can build capacity
and momentum.
“When women and girls are subjugated and not treated as equals, as humans
deserving of the same treatment as men, society cannot
flourish
and evolve to its fullest potential.”
These thoughts and ideals are from a series
of articles I wrote
for the Huffington Post.
There are many reasons to pursue these ideals: not only do
we have a moral and ethical obligation, but treating women
and girls as equals delivers economic benefits for all". |

ABOUT THE EVENT
The Permanent Mission of Monaco to the United Nations
and the Peace
Innovation Initiative
in collaboration with
the Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the United Nations
and the Permanent Observer Mission of the University
for Peace
Invited
guests enjoyed a lively and informative panel discussion
during the UN Water Conference to explore the role of
locally-informed and globally-minded peace innovation in
overcoming barriers to sustainable water action and
fostering inclusive water governance for the health of
people
and planet.
The vision of the UN Water Conference is to “unite the world
for water,” and any effective global action must be
co-designed with the people best positioned to lead the
change on-the-ground.
Collectively we can expand the conversation on water,
accelerating the development of positively disruptive
solutions and harnessing the power of water as a foundation
for active and sustainable peace practice.
