Peggy Lee Day |
Peggy Lee is one
of the most important singer/songwriters
of the 20th Century.
Peggy Lee wrote over 270 songs, recorded over 1100 masters, and had over
100 chart hits in her seven decade career.
Nominated for an Academy Award and 12 Grammy Awards,
Peggy received Lifetime Achievement Awards from NARAS,
ASCAP, and the Society of Singers.
In 1960, Peggy Lee was honored with a Star in the
Hollywood Walk of Fame. Over 60 years later, in the
city of Palm Springs where here career first began,
Peggy Lee posthumously was honored with her Star in the
Palm Springs Walk Of Stars.
To quote a famous lyric written by Peggy Lee,
" It was a good day from morning til night."
