NO KID HUNGRY CELEBRATES
40TH ANNIVERSARY WITH BENEFIT FEATURING
DOZENS OF CULINARY STARS
The benefit dinner raised
nearly $1.1m for Share Our Strength’s
No Kid Hungry Campaign
New York City – More
than 340 guests
attended and raised nearly $1.1m at the No
Kid Hungry Benefit Dinner on
Tuesday, May 22, at The Glasshouse in
Manhattan. The event celebrated No Kid
Hungry’s 40th anniversary
with an intimate multi-course menu and
beverage pairing curated by renowned
culinary talent from across the nation.
The evening also featured a unique live
auction to raise funds for the
No Kid Hungry campaign, which works to
end child hunger and ensure every single
child in America has the food they need
to grow up healthy and strong.
Benefit co-chairs were Nancy
and Fred Poses, Noah Glass, Danny
Meyer, Rachael Ray, Maggie Grise and Adam
Silver.
Honorees include No Kid
Hungry Visionary Leaders Carrie and
Leigh Abramson and Renee and John
Grisham, No Kid Hungry Corporate
Leader Citi, and No Kid Hungry
Community Partner Hunger Solutions
New York.
Citi is also the
presenting sponsor of the No Kid Hungry
national
dinner series.
Chef Co-Chairs were
Amanda Cohen and Hillary Sterling. Other
participating Dinner chefs included Nasim
Alikhani, Kim Alter, Mary Attea, Samuel
Clonts, Jason Hammel, Robert Hartman,
Russell Jackson, Telly Justice, Neel
Kajale, Alex Raij & Eder Montero, Eric
See, Eli Sussman, Jon Sybert, and Cesar
Zapata. These sixteen chefs each
created a full three-course menu for two
to three tables at the dinner; Claudia
Fleming provided dessert for all guests,
and Grayson Schmitz lead the kitchen for
the cocktail reception.
The Wine Chair was Thomas
Pastuszak. Featured sommeliers were Jienna
Basaldu, Danielle Bergeron, Suzanne
DeStio, Catherine Fanelli, Kristen
Goceljak, Lauren Hoey, Cortney McKenzie,
Miles Meltz, Ivonne Moy, Ren Neuman,
Luis Rivera, Jeff Taylor, Hugo Wai, and Robin
Wright.
