The Drama League Gala’s
New Format:
Drama at the Disco

The Drama League unveiled a
dazzling new format for its annual gala
with Drama at the Disco, an
electrifying night of glamour and
entertainment held at The Edison
Rooftop. This year, the traditionally
formal event embraced a disco theme,
combining the sophistication of Broadway
with the high-energy ambiance of a chic
disco dance party.
Directed by acclaimed Drama League
Directors Project alum Elena Araoz, the
evening started with an exclusive
sponsor reception featuring captivating
performances by Broadway Stars Ephraim
Sykes, Jeanna de Waal, Richard Kind,
Nikki Renee Daniels, Craig Bierko, and
Jeff Kready graced the event, creating
an unforgettable atmosphere. Guests
savored an exquisite strolling supper
paired with premium cocktails while the
genre-defying band Third Reprise
filled the air with a unique blend of
Broadway hits and contemporary sounds.
The immersive event featured interactive
experiences, from casino gaming to a
professional photoshoot.

Frederic J. and Barby K. Siegel; Dr.
David Helfet, Dr. Bryan Kelly, Dr.

Darin Oduyoye, Stan Ponte, Lauren Reid,
Rich Jaffee, and Fran and Barry Weisler.
A highlight of the night was the
presentation of the prestigious Arts
Ally Award to Tony Award-winning
producer Patty Baker, who was recognized
for her immense contributions to the
theatre world. Drama at the Disco
set a new standard for the Drama
League’s gala, merging high society
elegance with a playful, immersive
experience while supporting the next
generation of theatre directors.
