Celebrity fashion photographer Roger
Moenks celebrated the launch of his new book and project
I Am Eco-Warrior (IAEW), an inspiring
book of photographs and conversations that documents 53
global game-changers who are leading a multi-dimensional ECO
revolution, at the Gansevoort Hotel on Tuesday evening,
February 12. Hosts Lauren Bush Lauren of the FEED
Project, Scott Harrison of Charity Water, Chris
Salgardo of Kiehls, Jalsa Urubsurow of Nomadic
Expeditions and Costas Christ of National
Geographic along with 250 guests including
Andrew Barile,
Orlan Boston, Brad Goldfarb, Wesley Adams, Joey L, Keith
Bellows,
Tristan Mace, Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, Joanna Coles,
Timothy
White, Kevin
Frost, Laurent Claquin, Richard Rubenstein, Sanjay Rawal,
Wesley Clarke,
Rich Jeanneret,
and Scott Halliday.
The
event helped to enlighten and engage the community on how
IAEW is expanding and shifting the environmental dialogue
from traditional environmentalists to leaders in business,
fashion, government, music, media and beyond. The
event also featured presentations and a 5-minute video with
exclusive interviews of some of the eco warriors featured in
the book including Ted Turner, Lauren Bush Lauren,
Richard Branson, Stella McCartney, Blake McCoskiey,
Muhtar Kent, Anna Zegna, Scott Harrison, Chris Salgardo,
Christ Costas, and Jeffrey Sachs. Guests who
purchased a book took home gift bags filled with
eco-friendly products and services donated by Kiehls, Pure
Flow, Charity Water, Asellina Restaurant & the Gansevoort
Hotel, TOMS shoes, and more. 100% of the proceeds from the
book were donated to Charity Water and the FEED Project
where 80 people will have access to fresh water and over 30
children will be fed for an entire year.
