WASHINGTON (Jan.
12, 2016) – As
a result of the sixth-annual Strokes for HOPE Charity Golf
Tournament in Washington D.C., Post
Properties, Inc. recently
delivered a check for more than $40,000 to the Insight
Memory Care Center (IMCC). IMCC
is a nonprofit adult health and resource center providing
specialized care, support and education for individuals with
Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments, their
families, caregivers and the community
Proceeds
from the cost of registration and sponsorship opportunities all
went toward IMCC. After the event, Post held an online silent
charity auction to raise additional funds with items such as
complimentary stays in Post guest apartments, jewelry and local
tours to benefit IMCC.
“We chose IMCC because they are a small local
charity serving the community that needs their help,” said
Meghan Bader, Post Corporate Apartment Assistant Manager. “After
seeing the range of services that they provide for not only
their members, but their families and caretakers, it solidified
the fact that we wanted to help this very worthy cause.”
The
generous donation will go toward funding resources and programs
at IMCC that benefit Alzheimer’s patients, their caretakers and
family members
The
Post HOPE Foundation hosts a number of additional annual
fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds for local
community causes and charities, including bowling tournaments,
comedy nights and canned food drives. Post HOPE also hosts a
corporate-wide day of service each October. To learn more about Post HOPE
