The inaugural “Eight Over Eighty” benefit gala, Jewish
Home Lifecare
paid tribute to eight
New Yorkers 80 years or older who are living lives of
remarkable achievement.
The honorees – Dominic
Chianese, Richard Eisner, Emily
& Eugene Grant, Klara
& Larry Silverstein, Joan
Wachtler and Edie
Windsor –
represent the best of the best in entertainment, business,
real estate, eldercare, civil rights advocacy and
philanthropy.
Funds raised by the gala will support projects
like the
implementation of a revolutionary new model of eldercare,
etc.
The Living Center of Manhattan, a new Jewish Home Lifecare
residence soon to be under construction. Employing the
philosophy of THE
GREEN HOUSE®PROJECT,
The Living Center’s design and operation will emphasize
privacy, dignity and autonomy for all residents. The Living Center will
be the first Green House facility in New
York City and
the first to be built in a metropolitan, high-rise
environment.
