Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A presented nine
local winners of its 100
Cars for Good philanthropic
program with new vehicles to support the work of their
charitable organizations.
Toyota's 100
Cars for Good is
a major, national philanthropy program in which the
automaker gives away 100 cars to 100 nonprofits. Winners
were selected through public voting on Facebook. 100
Cars for Good is
the first initiative that directly engages the public to
determine how Toyota's philanthropic donations are
awarded. Complete information is available at www.100carsforgood.com
A New Way of Life Reentry Project was one
of nine organizations who received vehicles through
Toyota's 100 Cars for Good Program.
Coincidentally, at the event, a Toyota
employee approached A New Way of Life staff to say that
if it wasn't for A New Way of Life, he wouldn't "be
here". Turns out, A New Way of Life's Legal Clinic
expunged his conviction history.
