TV, cinema and theater star Michael
McKean presented the Spirit
of Life award
to
Tony Award Winner/Star of theatre, film and TV Kelli
O'Hara, at
the charity's annual spring luncheon.
Kelli
O'Hara,
the Tony Award-winning star of theater, film and television
is a passionate advocate for the early detection of
pancreatic cancer, which sadly took her mother-in-law'
life.
Currently on Broadway in "The Little Foxes" with
Cynthia Nixon and Laura Linney,
McKean and
his wife Annette O'Toole, will bring star-power to the event
which also features a fashion presentation by Andrew
Warren of Just Drew. Longtime
actor, comedian, writer, composer and musician, Michael McKean
is probably best known for his role as Lenny on the TV
sitcom Laverne and Shirley and as David St. Hubbins in the 1984
movie This is Spinal Tap and more recently as Charles
"Chuck" McGill in the AMC drama Better
Call Saul.
Along
with Ms. O'Hara, Iris Dankner and Lisa Fuld will be honored
with the Spirit
of Life Award as
well. Iris Dankner, the remarkable force behind
cancer survivor's awareness and the Founder of Holiday
House Design Show in the US and soon-to-be Europe is an
accomplished interior designer and CEO of ID Creations
LLC. Lisa
Fuld, who herself will be honored with the Spirit of
Life? Award this year
for the many years she has championed the outstanding work
of City of Hope.
