3rd.Annual Tom Ridge Homeland Security Awards

The Grand Hyatt on 42nd street was
transformed into a Hall
of Fame for Federal
Law Enforcement Agents recently. The Federal Enforcement
Homeland Security Foundation hosted their annual Tom Ridge Awards Gala
honoring the CBP, ATF, ICE, USSS, DEA and Homeland
Security. Over
550 guests filled the Ballroom illuminated in Patriotic
red, white and blue colors.
Honorees included Mayor
Rudy Giuliani who
accepted the Lifetime
Achievement Award and John
Catsimatidis who
accepted the
Patriot Award. Former head of Homeland Security Governor Tom Ridge presented
Mayor Giuliani with his award. Governor Ridge also
praised the hard work and dedication shown
by Foundation founders Barbara and Richard
Kendall. Retired Steelers coach Bill
Cowher and
actors Armand
Assante and Stephan
Baldwin presented
special awards to agents of the USSS, ICE and DEA.
Reality
star of Real
Housewives of NY, Ramona
Singer and
husband
Mario
Singer, sex therapist, author, professor, and
now Broadway legend,
Dr. Ruth Westheimer and
TV personalities Rita
Cosby and Willie
Geist came
to show their support. Close friends and supporters
donated thousands of dollars to the new scholarship
program for children of Federal
agents. Founder Richard Kendall announced
the names of this year’s
two winners of the Facebook essay contest who received
$5,000 towards their education.
As the evening ended, guests rose from their seats with
a standing ovation, applauding the Federal Law
Enforcement Agents for their many years of service.
Richard dedicated the evening to the brave men and women
thanking them for keeping our country and our families
safe.
