West Palm
Beach, FL
(30 July
2010)— "You
Buy-We
Give."
That's the
whole idea
behind a
wonderful
new
Community
Neighbors
program from
Army Navy
Outdoors
stores and
Wigwam.
Starting
August first
and running
through
December,
these two
charitable
partners
will give
away 1000
pairs of
brand new
socks. Every
time someone
purchases
any pack of
Wigwam socks
with the
“You Buy, We
Give” logo,
the customer
is able to
donate an
equal amount
of packs and
place them
into a
special
donation bin
located at
the
register.
There is no
cost to the
customer and
the socks
are being
paid for by
Army Navy
Outdoors.
Wigwam socks
collected
through the
campaign
will benefit
The
Salvation
Army local
area
Homeless
Programs and
will be
delivered
directly to
the local
homeless
facilities.
“Every day,
The
Salvation
Army in our
local
communities
is assisting
thousands of
homeless
individuals
in Florida.
Army Navy
Outdoors and
Wigwam are
honored to
assist in
their
efforts,”
says Peter
Litsky, Army
Navy
Outdoors.
“Matching
the sale of
the already
popular
Wigwam Socks
for The
Salvation
Army is how
Army Navy
Outdoors can
join in the
partnership
to do the
most good,
raise
awareness,
get our
customers
involved and
help make a
difference
in our local
communities.
With
attention
and care
toward the
homeless and
needy this
fall and
winter, our
customers
and stores
can produce
real results
for those so
down on
their luck
that they're
living
without a
permanent
residence.”
“We're so
grateful for
the support
of Army Navy
Outdoors,
Wigwam and
their loyal
customers --
especially
now, with
more
individuals
flocking to
our doors
each and
every day
seeking
support and
a place to
rest their
head," said
Major Thomas
McWilliams,
Area
Commander
for The
Salvation
Army.
“Their
contributions
will help us
give a sense
of hope to
those in our
communities
who are
going
without.
When we join
together, we
really can
make a
meaningful
difference
in peoples'
lives.”
