2014, Save A Pet
Florida held its first Annual Fund Raising Event “A NIGHT OF
MUSIC & SONG” in a packed audience At the Vera Lea Rinker
Hall, Palm Beach Atlantic University. Selections from
famous Operas, musical theater and classical piano was
performed & Surrounded by over 130 supporters, including
philanthropists, members of animal welfare groups from Palm
Beach to Jupiter & Wellington, New York & Canada. The slide
presentation was put together by Ms. Arrigo who pictured
with music a wonderful tribute to all of the pets that were
helped by Save A Pet in 2013. The opening could not begin
without a walk on by the lovely “BELLA” paralyzed at one
time but now walking onto our stage with her pink wheels
purchased by Save A Pet. Bella was the star attraction and
warmed our Hearts. Entertainment for the evening consisted
of Dean Peterson, an Operatic Bass, Birgit Fioravante,
Soprano, Dr. Xavier F. Garcia, Bartone, Dr. Robin Arrigo,
Professor of Piano, Dr. Suzanne Galer, Soprano, Edgar
Miguel Abreu, Tenor, Sofia Rodriquez-Porcel from the
American Musical & Dramatic Academy, & Dr. Joshua
Broadwater, Piano Player.
Act 1 included:
Verdi, Mozart, Delibes, Giordano,Donzetti, Lecuona, Lehar,
Lloyd Webber.
Act 2 included:
Liszt, Loesser, Schonberg, Jones & Schmidt, N. H. Brown,
Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, Foster, Sager, Testa
& Renis, Wright & Forrest, Bernstein.

those who donated to Save A Pet so our programs can
continue. We enjoyed spending the evening with you and know

A newly formed group of high school students who desire to
become veterinarians under the director of Dr. Eric
Schnirman and assisted by Dr. Karen Illel and Ana Barreto
were the volunteers for the evening. Their names are as
follows as they deserve much praise for their hard work &
dedication to Save A Pet. We look forward to a great working
relationship with our Young Friends of Save A Pet!

Founded in 1978,
Save A Pet Florida has rescued, rehabilitated, sterilized
and vaccinated over 30,000 animals. In 2013 our
Trap/Neuter/Return program sterilized and vaccinated over
400 homeless community cats. We also provided daily food &
water to those cats. In 2013 our Veterinary Aid Program
provided financial assistance to 47 low income people who’s
pets were injured & needed
emergency care.
