On Thursday, January 15th 2009, the Tri
County Humane Society will be the beneficiary of the
Preview Party & Reception for the 27th Annual
Palm Beach Winter Antiques Show, as well as the three-day
general admission tickets. Antique lovers and animal lovers
mingle while enjoying champagne and other goodies. Shopping
the floor for quality antiques and contributing to this
non-profit, no-kill animal shelter and organization is the
highlight for the grand opening of this event.
Chairpersons for the Preview Party & Reception are Suzi
Goldsmith, B. Jaye Pilotte and Gail Worth. This year’s
Honorary Chairperson is
Etonella Christlieb, Co-chairman of last year’s show and
a winter resident of Palm Beach
for 34 years. All three are active on the Palm Beach
social
and charitable scene.
The Tri County Humane Society is
a privately funded, not-for-profit, no-kill organization
that rescues more than 2,000 pups, cats, dogs and kittens
each year within Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade
counties, that were on death row ready to be euthanized.
Thousands of animals each year depend on Tri County for
their lives.
Due to the overwhelming interest in the format of the 2008
Palm Beach Winter Antiques Show, the 27th annual
show will once more be dedicated to worldwide antiques. Now
considered the finest show of its kind in Florida, the one
thing that is constant and is expected by attendees, is the
show’s quality and tradition.
The Palm Beach Winter Antiques Show Part Two
opens to the public on January 16th and will run
through January 18th and will once again return
to the Crown Plaza Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach with over
50 national and international antique dealers ranging from
New York, Canada, London and Paris.
Producer Zita Waters Bell comments, “The show is a
comfortable place to look because of its intimacy. There is
a dining room and lounge available where people can relax
and think about what they want to take home or give as a
gift, while many just roam around and look in wonder
at the items displayed.”
Most of the dealers will be returning, some after a brief
absence. Ms. Bell states, “We are pleased that PETER NEE of
Millwood VA,
JOSEPH B. HAYES of Bexley OH and BOYD MAKUS of Akron, OH as
well as ZEE FAUKNER of Lexington KY will return. We are
especially pleased that THE
SILVER VAULT from Woodstock, IL returns as the opening
display in the show and will be adjacent to first time
exhibitor DEVONIA ANTIQUES FOR DINING of Boston, MA..
“We will be happy to see SOLOMON SUCHARD of Shaker Heights
OH again with paintings and quimper. ESSEX ANTIQUARIANS of
Essex MA will bring a sophisticated selection of 18th and
19th century "living " wares with a broad selection of
unique, rare, and beautiful objects that are representative
of skilled artisans and cultured styles of an era gone past.
A special plus will be two WORTH AVENUE dealers of Palm
Beach, Florida with A.B. LEVY RARE ARTS OF THE WORLD
and DELLA POLETTI.”
For the Preview Party on January 15, the hours are 6 pm –9
