Plans are
underway for a premiere gala
event, “An Evening to Remember”
which will benefit the programs
and services of Alzheimer’s
Community Care. The event at
the new Caldwell Theatre in Boca
Raton is scheduled for Saturday,
October 18, 2008, and will
include a lavish
dinner-by-the-bite reception and
performance by the highly
acclaimed Symphony of the
Americas. Led by Maestro James
Brooks-Bruzzese, the 55-piece
orchestra will present a program
of classical works and Broadway
hits. The evening’s many firsts
include the inaugural
presentation of the Symphony in
Boca Raton, the debut
presentation of an orchestra of
such magnitude at the Caldwell
Theatre and, it also marks the
first fundraising event for
Alzheimer’s Community Care in
Boca Raton.
An additional
highlight of the program will be
performances by Rebecca Simon
and Trent Blanton. The
accomplished duo, members of the
Actor’s Equity Association, have
appeared on Broadway in Bye, Bye
Birdie and Fiddler on the Roof,
and boast a list of notable TV
and film credits. Both teach
music theater techniques, acting
and voice at FAU.
The Honorary Gala
Chair is Mrs. Madelyn Savarick,
a highly respected
philanthropist and long-time
supporter of the arts. “I am
thrilled that the Symphony will
be showcased at the beautiful
Caldwell and that this marvelous
evening will benefit such a
worthy organization,” said Mrs.
Savarick. Added Mr. Jim
Longfield, Vice President of
Development of Alzheimer’s
Community Care, “We are
fortunate to present such an
exceptional program and we are
indebted to Ms. Savarick for her
inspiration,
generosity and leadership.”

68,000 patients and caregivers
in Palm Beach, Martin and St.
