STUDENT LEADER OF THE YEAR
Recent high school graduate, Xiang Siow will receive the Student Leader of the Year Award. Mr. Siow was a JANY Student Ambassador while enrolled at Stuyvesant High School in New York City. He exudes the qualities that constitute a JANY Student Ambassador - leadership, success, service and passion for enterprise. In addition to his time in JANY professional development, Xiang participated in the High School Heroes Program, teaching elementary students to become financially literate; he shadowed professionals at WCBS-TV and WNBC-TV; and he participated in speaking engagements focused on the financial literacy empowerment of students. He is currently a freshman at the University of Chicago.
 
"The JANY Leadership Awards honorees believe that with a good education and the right knowledge, guidance and opportunities, every child has the potential to become the next CEO of a Fortune 500 company or a budding entrepreneur, regardless of the circumstances they were brought up in," said Doug Schallau, president of JANY.  "Kenneth Chenault, Bob Catell and Xiang Siow are all pioneers of achievement.  They are examples of excellence for us all and we honor them for providing committed and inspired leadership."
