2008, two icons of the culinary world

Chief Executive Office, Michael Kors (USA), Inc.,
and Congressman Pete
King will be honored at the sixth annual
Tuesday’s Children Fall Gala,
“A Toast to
New York”
at The Rainbow Room. Tuesday’s Children, a nonprofit
organization that provides services and programs to the
entire 9/11 community will pay tribute to all four
honorees for their unwavering and compassionate support
of 9/11 families and rescues and recovery workers.
The organization will also
present the first annual
“Spirit of 9/11 Award”
to 13-year old Jacob Miller, a young man who donated
money from his Bar Mitzvah to support a new
international Tuesday’s Children initiative called
Project Common Bond.
Proceeds will benefit
Tuesday’s Children’s wide-range of services and
resources including mentoring for children, next-step
life skills, leadership training for adults, and
services for rescue and recovery workers. The cocktail
fundraiser will include food, awards ceremony, live
music, and live and silent auctions.
