Artist and sculptor Michelle Marie unveiled her latest
collection “Winter Trees on Oak Paneled Boxes” at Vered
Gallery in East Hampton Friday evening, July 27th followed by
a private dinner at the newly opened East Hampton restaurant
Le Flirt. The opening night featured Michelle Marie’s newest
piece, a version of her trademark paintings sculpted in
bronze, capturing the essence of stark winter trees with
geometric triangles that constantly change position, causing
both an optical illusion and free movement.
Michelle Marie is a modern day Renaissance woman. She is a
wife, mother, painter, musician, gardener, decorator, athlete
and philanthropist. Michelle made an impressive debut in New
York City with a show entitled “Old Beauty Queens” at Gallery
54. The exhibition drew raves for its layered paintings
portraying past-their-prime debutants and beauty queens.
Michelle adorned these creations with precious and
semiprecious stones to enhance the effect. “People responded
so positively to the paintings, and the show was so well
received, that it became a defining moment in my career,” she
said. Most recently, the work of Michelle Marie was chosen by
Tiffany & Co. Vice-President Robert Ruffino to grace his
company’s windows, at the corner of 57th Street and Fifth
Avenue. Her collection can be viewed at
