After one
bite, my son
declared his
Croque
Monsieur
inedible. He
said it was
greasy and
the ham was
slimy. ( The
best Croque
Monsieur is
at the
Carlyle ) I
have to
agree with
him, it was
unlike any
other we
have ever
tasted. My
little
daughter had
a less
discriminating
palette and
ate with
utter bliss.
Quiche,
Croque
Monsieur,
Fish &
Chips...
My fish and
chips were
delicious,
really
delicious,
and the
tarter sauce
was
homemade. My
husbands
quiche was
equally
good.
Delicious

As a family
we always
rate the
restaurants
we visit 1
out of 10, 1
being the
lowest, 10
obviously
being the
highest. Our
family
rating of
Vin et
Fleurs,
which
translates
to Wine and
Flowers is a
7. We would
not run back
there, but
we would
definitely
go back.

Busy At
Work...
Forging
onward we
visited The
Children's
Museum of
the Arts at
103 Charlton
Street. We
had the
grandest
time at The
Clay Bar.
The young
lady behind
the bar
asked my son
what he
would like
to
make....he
told her a
Robin. ( as
birds were
the theme. )
She preceded
to hand him
small pieces
of colored
clay and
instructed
him on how
to mold it
so it looked
like a
robin. I was
very
impressed
with the
technique
and amount
of detail
she
explained to
him....and
my 2 year
old daughter
as well.

After
leaving with
the two
cutest
Robin's in
town we
decided to
take a
stroll down
Broadway. We
ran into Max
Von
Aichinger,
the famous
street
artist that
is known for
his
adaptations
of Sea Life.
His
"Anemones"
series was
on display
and I was
particular
drawn to a
neon orange
and deep
blue
creation.
Max was part
of the Andy
Warhol and
Jean Michel
Basquiat
circle. His
paintings
are like
jello
sculptures
on canvas
and
bright and happy...just like Max!
