On
Saturday,
Aug. 3rd I
attended the
South
Hampton
Hospital
Summer
Party,
Audrey Gruss
was the
honorary
Chair....she
is such a
lovely woman
and
dedicated to
helping
others. Her
dress was
the epitome
of cool
summer
elegance.
My BFF's for
the evening
included
Anthony Todd
the designer
who turned
the
Pavillion at
the Elks
grounds into
a pure
dream, no
easy task as
the tent was
quite vast.
Bravo Antony!
Leah
Rumbough who
sat to my
left was
simply
divine...she
is the
Mother of
Cole
Rumbough who
swept me off
my feet and
turned me
into Ginger
Rogers on
the dance
floor. Randi
Schatz who I
completely
adore and
always has
the most
amazing
shoes looked
as beautiful
as ever and
Leesa Roland
and Larry
Wohl who
promised to
take Jon and
I to dinner
at their
favorite
Vegan
restaurant,
which I
secretly
can't wait
for as the
Asado's,
which I
wrote about
in my last
column are
beginning to
take their
toll.
I had a
fabulous
conversation
with the TV
Host Cognac
Wellerlane
and
can't wait to see her at the Hampton Classic!

On
Sunday, Aug.
4th my
daughter
Hyacinth
competed in
her first
Horse Show
called HITS.
She was
absolutely
amazing and
brought home
a blue
ribbon, I am
so proud of
her. My son
Hudson, was
grand
champion
last year,
and cheered
his little
sister on.
They love
each other
so much.
We have two
peach trees
on our
Country
property and
yesterday my
children and
I decided to
pick some so
I could make
a peach
cobbler. I
am not sure
how this
happened,
but 4 hours
later we had
managed to
pick every
peach on
both trees.
The peaches
were ripe to
perfection
so perhaps
that was our
subconscious
motivation!
I made the
most
heavenly
cobbler
which I can
not wait to
share. It is
super easy,
and mouth
watering.
Michelle-Marie's
Cobbler:
1. Take 15
peaches
completely
peeled, no
skin, cut
them into
tiny pieces
into a large
casserole
dish. It
should cover
about 1-2
inches on
bottom. Stir
in 5 big
tablespoons
of sugar,
and 1 table
spoon of
cinnamon,
and a little
water. Cover
and cook
this in the
oven for 30
minutes at
450 degrees.
2. Once you
take it out,
tear into
pieces, on
top, a can
of cinnamon
buns,
cinnamon
facing up.
Cook for 20
minutes,
take out and
spread the
white icing
on top.
Soooo easy
and
completely
delicious.
We had the
grandest
time in the
kitchen
preparing
the fruit,
washing,
cutting,
sorting, we
even found a
little worm
on one of
the
peaches....children
love this.
It is so
important to
spend time
as a family.
In the end,
this is all
that
matters!
As I close
this weeks
column I
close with
love in my
heart and
happiness to
everyone...
Until next
week....xoxo..MM
