On August 6, the Women's National Republican Club --
sometimes referred to as the 3 West Club -- had a sold out
event thanks to lovely Chair Ronnie Perl: People came from
near and far to listen to Dr. Ben Carson announce his run
for the presidency of the United States. Falling short of
that announcement, Dr. Carson held the room in thrall
discussing what ails this country, how he would heal it, and
his new book One
Nation. Later on in the Q & A, Actor Tony Lo Bianco was
so enthused he stood on line twice and asked two questions.
It was a wonderful, inspirational, hopeful evening for all.

The Grand Ballroom was packed. First row on left (from
