WHAT: “The Big Event,”
one of the
social season’s largest and liveliest
parties, brings together community
leaders to benefit Big Brothers Big
Sisters of Greater Miami. The popular
fundraiser to benefit more than 7,000
children, families and volunteers
features an cocktail reception that will
take the form of a mini-food and wine
festival, fine cuisine, an over-the-top
silent auction village, including 100
bottles of wine from the private stashes
of local movers and shakers, celebrity
chefs, poolside fireworks, and lively
entertainment. Prominent artist Burton
Morris, known for his eye-popping art,
serves as the event’s signature artist,
creating a one-of-a-kind event design
that will be raffled during the event.
The Big Event promises to live up to its
name.
Micky and Madeliene Arison
are honorary event chairmen. Co-chairing
the gala are
Jeanie
Hernandez, Tim Brown, Bonnie Crabtree,
Joy Spillis Lundeen and Frank Weber.
