The Directors of the British Memorial
Garden Trust are proud to announce
that simultaneous concerts will once
again take place in New York and
London on September 11th to
‘Honour The Day; as a sign of unity and
friendship. The concerts are organized
in association with the September
Concert series.
The concerts will take place at the
British Garden at Hanover Square,
New York at 12.30pm and in Grosvenor
Square, London at 5.30pm.
Speaking from New York, Camilla Hellman,
MBE, President of the Trust
said “The concerts occurring
simultaneously in London and New York is
very important we feel to the
reinforcing the message of unity and
friendship -
and as an expression of the unique bond
we share through adversity.
It reinforces the Trusts motto of
Reflect, Remember, and Rebuild as we
honour the tragedy of that day. “
In Grosvenor Square, London The
Regimental Band of the Coldstream
Guards and The Band and Bugles of the
Rifles, will perform, along with the
choir of the Fulham Camerata and leading
Scottish rock violinist Laura McGhee.
In the British Garden at Hanover Square,
New York Russell Watson will lead
the ceremony performing the national
anthems, The New York Scottish
Pipes and Drums along with The
Manchester Regiment of the Police and
Fire Pipe Band. Forty young
children
will also perform from The
British International School of New
York.
A reception follows at the India House
Club.
