WHAT: The
South Florida Board of Realtists (SFBOR)
will celebrate their 2009 Installation
Fundraiser with appearances by Miami Gardens
Mayor Shirley Gibson, Miami-Dade Chamber of
Commerce President Bill Diggs and Mistress
of Ceremonies, Blossoming Rose. The event
will serve to induct new members into the
SFBOR.

ABOUT
SOUTH FLORIDA BOARD OF REALISTS
The
South Florida Board of Realtists (SFBOR) is
the local branch of the National Association
of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). NAREB,
founded in 1947, is the oldest and largest
African-American trade association in America. The SFBOR membership
consists of Licensed Real Estate and
Mortgage Professionals, Financial
Institutions, Title Agents, Attorneys,
Appraisers, Education Providers, Inspectors,
Developers, and Property Managers. Through
its broad consortium of members, the SFBOR
is the Real Estate industry. The South
Florida Board of Realtists has been
responsible for fulfilling their commitment
to “Democracy in Housing” since 1994 by
creating and administering the Metro Miami
Action Plan Housing Assistance Program (MMAP
HAP), which has provided homeownerships
opportunities for over 4700 families
throughout Miami-Dade County. As a HUD-approved counseling
agency, the SFBOR has prepared over 1000
Miami-Dade county residents for
homeownership. The agency is certified for
pre-purchase, post-purchase, and foreclosure
prevention counseling. SFBOR is a 501C-3
non-profit foundation and SFBOR has remained
involved in the community through its local
partnership with Job Corps of Miami and
Miami Norland Sr. High School Academy of
Hospitality & Tourism providing work-based
opportunities for at-risk youth.
