Maria Soccor,
Award Winner Producer, Writer and Actress
 

Maria Soccor is an actor, award winning director, producer, writer and comic creator.  She is the founder of Maria Soccor Productions located in New Jersey.  Her production company focuses on feature documentaries, branded commercials, AR/VR and short film content that is allowing her to transition into the narrative world of filmmaking where she ultimately wants to be.  Soccor advocates for productions that follow the "green" standards of filmmaking.  She is currently writing and directing the feature documentaries: Freestyle Music The Legacy, Tillie, Sybil: In Her Own Words.  

As the writer/director of the acclaimed documentary film, Lords of BSV, which won 13 major awards across the world, including two Best Directors awards of a feature film, she is the recipient of the 2020 Hell's Kitchen NYC Festival Female Filmmaker of The Year Award, and Best Director of KICKS, her first short film.

In 2019, she made history at the Venice International Film Festival as the producer of the first VR theatrical play, LOVESEAT. In 2018, Soccor screened her short film KICKS at The Short Film Corner, at The Cannes Film Festival, as writer/director/actor, and it was released on the platform for ShortsTV, on April 8, 2020. Maria continues to work on her fine art photography projects, and is a writer for branded content.
 

Her professional associations include the Feature Documentary Chapter of Film Fatales, SAG/AFTRA, AEA, Primetime Network, New York Women In Film and Television, AWD, and New York's prestigious National Arts Club. Soccor is also active in her community in Hudson County New Jersey as the former Media Director/Head of Operations for Educate The Block, now serving as a board member of this career training program.

 Kwang S. Kim
President of the Korean American Association of Greater New York (KAAGNY),

 the most prominent organization in the Korean American community in the Tri-state area, representing the collective voice of 500,000 Koreans
in the region.

 In addition to his role at KAAGNY, he serves as the Chairman of the Korean American Heritage Society, an organization dedicated to promoting Korean culture. Previously, Mr. Kim served as the President of the Korean Community Services of Metro New York (KCS), the largest social welfare organization in the Korean American community in the nation. He held the position of Executive Director and President for 29 years until he voluntarily stepped down in 2019.

Under his leadership, KCS expanded its services, currently assisting thousands of people from both Korean and other ethnic communities daily through two community centers and six regional offices in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Kim's visionary leadership has been instrumental in shaping KCS into the vital organization it is today.

Dan Jiji

Dan was always drawn to numbers, algebra, and colorful geometric forms. He is passionate about lines and shapes that remind him of Moorish architecture’s perfectly organized geometric shapes. He combines his computer expertise with his mathematical and artistic ability to create wonderfully futuristic artwork.

He invented “Art in 1000 Straight Lines” a series where math meets art.  Each piece is created as Geometric Abstract Art plotted with one-thousand lines. The thousand intersecting straight lines somehow appear to twist and curve resulting in beautiful unique designs. Using natural mathematical formulas as a seed, the plots blossom with light and color. Mathematical simplicity, geometrical precision, and vibrant colors come together as a wonderful artistic surprise

I hope all is well with you all. I am in awe of this opportunity to share with you a wonderful foundation called Project Michelangelo foundation. 

 Project Michelangelo is an independent and private organization established in 2011 and conceived from human elements of compassion and hope mobilized into angelic-like response for humanity through educational endowment for needy but deserving children and young adults, assistance to children with cancer and life-threatening diseases like our Progeria Children shown above, by helping grant a wish for a terminally-ill child, and partnership with rescue organizations in times of calamities and disasters. 

 The name Michelangelo means Messenger who resembles God and is the image and essence of the foundations mission in delivering hope and watching over to empower the children of the world and their appointed guardians.

 What is Progeria?

Progeria (pro-JEER-e-uh), also known as Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome, is an extremely rare, progressive genetic disorder. It causes children to age rapidly, starting in their first two years of life. 

Children with progeria generally appear healthy at birth. During the first year, symptoms such as slowed growth, loss of fat tissue and hair loss begin to appear.

Heart problems or strokes are the eventual cause of death in most children with progeria. The average life expectancy for a child with progeria is about 15 years. Some with the condition may die younger with their age expectancy between 14 to 16 years of age. We are still searching for a cure for Progeria and new treatments and research show some promising studies in managing symptoms and complications.

Project Michelangelo foundation searches for these children around the world. Partnered with Progeria Research foundation and Boston Childrens Hospital for their clinical trials hoping to extend their lifespan. Currently we have 6 children in the Philippines. We are helping with their nutritional supplements and daily necessities. We hope for the cure of this Genetic disorder. 

By your help and everyone in our community at large we would like to provide the awareness and campaign, as all races and families around the world are affected.
