BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY
– Christie Brinkley will be the Honorary
Chair at the 20th Annual Family Day Wild,
Wild West Carnival, presented by Marquis Jet
and the National Women’s Division of Albert
Einstein College of Medicine. They are
calling all cowboys and cowgirls to come on
down Sunday, August 9, 2009 to the Ross
School , 739 Butter Lane, Bridgehampton, NY
from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for all the
festivities you can lasso up.
Don’t leave the kids in the dust for this
annual benefit; there is more than enough
fun to go around for the whole family. Jump
in a burlap sack and hop your way through
potato sack races, spin till you’re dizzy in
the hula-hoop contest, or beat the summer
heat with the water balloon toss. The
afternoon continues with many other
activities including pony rides, inflatable
rides, tug-of-war, face painters, a giant
slide, cupcake making, wagon rides, arts &
crafts, performances and much more.
All of this fun not only makes for an
exciting day with the family but also
enhances the lives of many others with your
generous contributions. All proceeds from
ticket sales, raffles and the silent auction
benefit an extraordinary new clinical
research program at Einstein’s Children’s
Evaluation and Research Center (CERC) that
provides evaluation, diagnosis and treatment
services for children with serious
developmental disorders such as autism,
language and learning disorders, and hearing
impairments. Cutting-edge research
collaborations between CERC’s outstanding
clinical staff and Einstein’s world-class
scientists will hasten the discovery of
innovative treatments for these devastating
conditions and, ultimately, their prevention
and cure. It will improve the lives of
millions of children and families across the
United States.
Founded in 1955, the Albert Einstein College
of Medicine is one of the world’s premiere
centers for medical research and education.
It’s a place where miracles happen…miracles
like the development of Taxol, one of the
most important anti-cancer drugs of the last
decade and the identification of the key
missing protein in the brains of Alzheimer’s
patients, a major breakthrough in
Alzheimer’s disease research.
Tickets start at $100 and can be purchased
in advance or at the door.
